Dorchester (S.C.) School District Two's seventh middle school is under construction in Summerville.

Beech Hill Middle School is being built directly behind Beech Hill Elementary School and will accommodate about 1,000 students in grades six through eight, reports Live 5 WCSC.

The $31 million, one-story facility will have 119,830 square feet of space and will alleviate crowding at the district's other middle schools.

The school is expected to open in August 2022.

The architect is SGA/NarmourWright Design
