Tri-Valley (S.D.) district approves a $52 million bond to update and construct facilities

The funds will enable the district to build a high school in Colton and complete construction of an elementary school in Crooks.

The Tri-Valley (S.D.) school district has won approval of a $52 million bond proposal to update school facilities.

The bond will enable the district to build a high school, complete a K-4 elementary school, and carry out other facility upgrades, reports the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.

The new $35 million high school will built in Colton on 20 acres east of the football field.

The existing K-12 school in Colton will become a K-8 grade school. Renovations to that building will cost an estimated $8 million,

The five-section elementary school in Crooks will be an expansion of a district kindergarten-only facility.
