Baptist school in Florida is constructing a $1.5 million addition
West Florida Baptist Academy in Milton, Fla., is is constructing a six-classroom addition.
The $1.5 million expansion has been prompted by recent enrollment growth, reports The Pensacola News Journal.
The private school houses students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
In the past three years, enrollment has grown from 350 students to 530 students.
The expansion will be the school's first major construction in 12 years. It will add 7,200 square feet to the school and likely will be used as elementary classroom space.
The school purchased a neighboring 10 acres of land for the expansion.
