The Perth Amboy (N.J.) district is constructing a new Perth Amboy High School.
The new 576,000-square-foot, three-story high school will accommodate about 3,300 students in ninth to 12th grades, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy says in a news release.
In addition to general classrooms and science labs, the school will have specialized educational spaces such as an automotive lab, culinary arts lab, black box studio, dance studio, ROTC classroom, world languages classroom, life skills lab, and a daycare center. The new school will also be equipped with 1:1 student technology.
The school is being designed as an LEED-certified building.
The school is expected to be completed in September 2024.
RSC Architects is the architect for the new high school and Terminal Construction Corporation/Dinallo Construction Corporation is the contractor.
