Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, Ind.,  is building its first on-campus residence hall.

The $4.8 million facility will house three resident assistant suites and 20 beds per floor, reports The Times of Northwest Indiana

The 16,500-square-foot, three-story building will offer students student lounge space on the first and second floors. The aesthetic of the building will fit within the context of the existing architecture on campus.

The university says it is adding campus housing in response to student demand.

Construction is expected to be complete in August 2022.
