The Santa Rosa County (Fla.) district is constructing its second kindergarten through eighth grade school.

At full capacity, the school will serve about 1,182 students and will relieve crowding at the district's intermediate and middle school, reports The Pensacola News Journal

The two-story school building in Pace will have 45 classrooms — 25 primary classrooms and 20 intermediate classrooms — and a covered physical education building.

The cost of the  school is projected at $39.4 million.

It is set to open in 2023.
