The Davis (Utah) district is building resource centers at several of its high schools to provide services to homeless students.

The teen resource centers will provide a safe space for students to shower, do their laundry, study and gain access to critical resources, reports ABC 4 Utah

The centers are being built at Woods Cross, Northridge, Layton and Mountain high schools as well as Renaissance Academy.

A center opened at Clearfield High earlier this year and serves about 50 and 60 students a week.

More than 1,300 students experience homelessness in the district; 300 of them are high school students.
