The Idaho State University College of Business is creating the Walter P. Brown Center for Sales Excellence on its Pocatello campus.

A donation from the Michael C. Ruettgers Endowment  is enabling the university to establish the center on the second floor of the school's business administration building, the university says in a news release.

The space will be designed to serve as a base for the college's sales program and provide students and sales professionals an area to develop their sales skills and train for individual and team sales presentations, interviews and proposals.

Ruettgers, a 1964 Idaho State University graduate of marketing, was chief executive officer for the storage and software company, EMC Corporation (now part of Dell).

Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2022.
