Eastern Michigan University is undergoing a $200 million residence hall upgrade in Ypsilanti
Eastern Michigan University is upgrading student housing on its Ypsilanti campus.
The university's $200 million "Welcome Home 2025" initiative will enable the university to build a new residence hall and renovate existing residence halls, according to a university news release.
The new residence hall will accommodate about 400 students in apartment-style units. The facility will be built next to the university's student center and will overlook a pond on the north side of campus.
Gilbane Development Company is the construction manager for the project.
