California charter elementary school is adding a building for high school grades

Redding School of the Arts, a K-8 charter school in Redding, Calif., is adding a high school.

The high school and an indoor theater will be erected on land donated by the McConnel Foundation, reports KRCR-TV News. 

The new school will enable the elementary charter school to add about 300 students in grades nine through 12, reports The Redding Record Searchlight. 

The school is set to open this fall. The campus and theater will be completed by fall 2023.
