Polk County (Fla.) district will add middle school to elementary campus in Davenport
The Polk County (Fla.) district is constructing a $22 million middle school at its Bella Citta Elementary School campus in Davenport.Â
The expansion plan at Bella Citta will enable the district to keep students on one campus from kindergarten through eighth grade, reports The Lakeland Ledger.Â
Officials say the site is larger than a standard elementary school site and can accommodate performance and fine arts classrooms along with a gymnasium.Â
The middle school will also enable the district to alleviate crowding at Citrus Ridge: A Civics Academy.
