Gainesville (Ga.) district is constructing a $24 million addition to high school

The 103,807-square-foot, three-story academic building will replace the district's Ninth Grade Center.

The Gainesville (Ga.) district is constructing an academic building at Gainesville High School that will replace the district's Ninth Grade Center.

The $24 million, 103,807-square-foot, three-story academic building will have 47 classrooms, labs for science, marketing, business and video production, and two art rooms, reports The Gainesville Times

The building will connect to the high school's kitchen, cafeteria and media center.

The new academic facility will be completed by fall 2023.
