Rowan University breaks ground on $30 million student center addition in Glassboro, N.J.

Rowan University has broken ground on a $30 million addition to its Chamberlain Student Center in Glassboro, N.J. 

The 28,500-square-foot addition will provide facilities for meetings, events, offices and services to accommodate Rowan’s growing student body, the university says in a news release. 

The addition will have essential technology and amenities, large indoor spaces for collaboration, public events and activities, and a redesigned outdoor plaza.

The outdoor area will have a plaza and terrace, and the indoor floor plan includes an amphitheater.

ikon.5. architects is the architect and Newport Construction is the general contractor. 

Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2023.
