Gwynedd Mercy University is constructing a healthcare innovation campus in Pennsylvania

The university will build the 65,000-square-foot Frances M. Maguire Healthcare Innovation Center as the centerpiece of the innovation campus.

Gwynedd Mercy University in Gwynedd Valley, Pa., is constructing a new Frances M. Maguire Healthcare Innovation Campus on the university's main campus. 

A $10 million donation from The Maguire Foundation is enabling the university to construct the campus, the university says in a news release. 

Construction of a 65,000-square-foot building, the Frances M. Maguire Healthcare Innovation Center, will become the centerpiece of the healthcare innovation campus. 

The space will have immersive simulation and skills labs that will provide opportunities for students to practice clinical skills and address complex patient scenarios.

The center also will provide space for inter-professional collaboration.

Nursing students will be able to collaborate with Public Health, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Care, Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Psychology and other students to enhance patient care.
