Art-focused charter school in Toledo, Ohio, is expanding

Toledo School for the Arts, a charter school in Toledo, Ohio., for grades six to 12, is undergoing an expansion. 

The additional space will provide a black box studio, a barrier-free dance studio, a five-story staircase, expanded academic and arts technologies classrooms, and a larger art gallery and school store, reports BG Independent News.

The school says its existing building is too small to accommodate more students and can accommodate only about 700 students. About 200 students are on the school's wait list every year. 

Funding for the project is coming from donors.
