Private New Jersey elementary school is expanding its Hoboken campus
Stevens Cooperative School, a private grade school with two campuses in New Jersey, is expanding its Hoboken campus.
The upgrades will provide space for the school's Early Childhood Program as well as a new location for middle school students, the school says in a news release.
The school will expand its location on River Street in Hoboken by connecting it with an adjacent space, a former Pilates studio. The expanded site will house an additional classroom, art and movement studios, and office space for the early childhood program.
Stevens is also renovating a building on Bloomfield Street and converting it to an Upper Middle School building for seventh and eighth grades.
Overall, the expansion will enable the school to enroll two additional classes of preK-3 and first-grade students for the 2022-23.
Stevens Cooperative School, founded in 1949 and has campuses in Hoboken and Jersey City.
