Spearfish High School in Spearfish, S.D., is adding a $15.35 million Career and Technical Education Center.
School officials said the 58,000-square-foot facility will give students the opportunity to train for real-world experiences, reports KNBN-TV.
New programs that the building addition will make possible: a medical science program, computer lab, building trades, automotive technology,, robotics and automation.
The Spearfish district will continue to offer family and consumer science, business education, computer information technology, wood working/cabinet making, and welding, reports The Black Hills Pioneer.
The center is expected to open in spring 2024.
