The Pasco County (Fla.) district is building a $10 million, 26,000-square-foot addition at Starkey Ranch K-8 School in Odessa.
The school opened in August 2021 and has already outgrown its buildings, reports The Tampa Bay Times.
Starkey Ranch ended the school year with about 1,568 students. It is expected to have about 2,100 students enrolled for 2022-23.
While construction is underway, the students will be housed in eight portable classrooms.
The addition is slated to be complete in 2024.
