Terminal Park Elementary School is the fourth and final campus being built with funds from the district's Building for Learning bond that was passed in 2016. The bond proposal called for construction of four elementary schools at a cost of about $120 million, reports The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.
The new 74,000-square-foot Terminal Park Elementary will replace the existing elementary school and will accommodate about 650 students in pre-school through fifth grade.
Students will be relocated to a former middle school facility while construction is taking place.
The other schools built with 2016 bond funds: Dick Scobee Elementary, Pioneer Elementary and Chinook Elementary.
NAC Architecture is the architect, and Skanska is the construction manager.
