The San Francisco school board has approved plans to construct an elementary school in the Mission Bay neighborhood.

In addition to elementary classrooms, the building will house a Linked Learning Hub, where high school students will be offered unique opportunities to connect their learning with career experiences and workforce readiness; and a resource center for teachers and staff to receive training, the district said in a news release.

The school is being built in anticipation of growth on the eastern side of the city over the next decade.

Funds for the project are coming from the district's 2016 Proposition A bond program.

McCarthy Building Company is the general contractor and DLR Group is the architect.

The school is scheduled to open August 2025.
