The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is constructing an ambulatory care clinic and pathology lab.
The clinic will include operating rooms for outpatient surgery, reports KSNV.
It will also be a one-stop-location for patients to receive treatment from several kinds of specialists, including mental health professionals.
Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak and the legislature's Interim Finance Committee have approved the funding, which comes from federal Covid relief allocations provided in the American Rescue Plan.
