Replacement elementary school under construction in Hartselle, Ala.
The Hartselle City (Ala.) district has broken ground on a new Crestline Elementary School.
The Hartselle Enquirer reports that the $36 million, 105,000 square-foot building will replace the oldest campus in the district.
The school will have 65 classrooms and will be able to accommodate more than 1,000 students in pre-kindergarten to fourth grade. The facility and site are designed to enable the addition of additional classrooms in the future.
A portion of the existing Crestline Elementary School will be demolished, and some of the facility will be retained as additional classrooms for Hartselle’s growing student population.
The new campus is slated to open in August 2024.
The architect is Davis Architects, and the builder is Bailey-Harris Construction.
