Texas A&M International University is constructing a Health Sciences Education and Research Center on its Laredo, Texas, campus.
About $71.2 million has been allocated for construction of the facility, reports Laredo Morning Times.
Adding the Health Sciences Education and Research Center will enable the university to expand programs such as kinesiology, public health, and communication disorders.
The building also will enable the university to expand its public clinics.
Construction of the 57,000-square foot building is expected to begin in 2023.
