New Construction
Christian school is expanding campus in Athens, Ala.
Lindsay Lane Christian Academy has broken ground on a $6.1 million expansion of its campus in Athens, Ala.
The school, which opened in 2009 with 39 students, now has an enrollment of 674, and has no more space to accommodate additional students and programs. So it is moving forward with a new building.
“In order to meet our current needs and to be prepared for the future, we have to build,” the school says on its website.
The new building will serve primarily students in grades seven to 12.
It will have 10 new classrooms, a cafeteria, science and STEM labs, a gymnasium with two side-by-side courts, a weight room, tutoring spaces, offices, and a storm shelter.
