Syracuse University is constructing a new academics and athletics village.

Manley Field House will be transformed into the John A. Lally Athletics Complex to benefit about 600 student-athletes, reports CYNCentral.com News

The Department of Athletics is looking to raise $150 million to carry out the transformation.

The student-athlete support program will have space to meet with students for private, in-person expanded tutorial appointments, academic advising, as well as career and life skills programs. Students will also be able to complete assignments or study between classes.

The area will also serve as a gathering and event space for special events, day-to-day activities, and other programs.

The plans also include an enhanced display for the Hall of Champions experience, which will celebrate the accomplishments of the university's student-athletes in the classroom and on the field in real-time.
