Charter high school campus in Los Angeles is undergoing a $145 million modernization
Taft Charter High School in Los Angeles is undergoing a $145.7 million modernization.
The improvements include construction of a competition-sized synthetic track, and softball fields, reports The Lost Angeles Daily News. A new annex will house a parent center.
The school’s multipurpose room, industrial arts facility and administrative building will receive seismic improvements, and air conditioning and plumbing upgrades
Elevators will be installed to comply with the American Disabilities Act.
Taft opened in 1960 and became a charter school in 2013. It serves about 2,300 students.
