Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., is embarking on a $60 million renovation and expansion of the Dyson Center.
The project will double the size of the academic building from 54,000 square feet to 110,000 square feet, the college says in a news release.
The upgraded building will have classrooms; faculty offices; a 150-seat tiered lecture hall; and labs for student-faculty research, especially in the areas of cognitive, developmental and social psychology.
Dyson houses the Schools of Management and Social and Behavioral Sciences and will also provide space for Marist’s Center for Career Services, the Student Investment Center, and an atrium that features a café, lounge, and social and collaborative spaces.
The project is expected to be complete in June 2024.
Ann Beha Architects is the architect.
