The grant will enable the Washoe County (Nev.) district to upgrade the school's campus and stadium, reports The Sierra Sun.
The project will create an internalized main campus for the high school and will also overhaul the school's stadium, which lacks a full track and field. The stadium does not meet accessibility requirements.
The high school opened in 1968 and has not seen an upgrade since its opening.
The ROTC building is used as a makeshift locker room; however, it has only portable bathrooms. For running water, the students must go to the main building.
Planned improvements includea dance studio, a culinary arts classroom with a student run café, and collaborative space for student presentations.
