Brookville High School in Lynchburg, Va., is planning a $40 million renovation.
The Campbell County, Va., Board of Supervisors has approved the hiring of an architect and construction manager to oversee the improvements.
The school was built in the 1960s but hasn't been upgraded since 1992, reports WSLS-TV.
The plans are still in the works, but officials said improving the school's HVAC system is the top priority.
Construction is scheduled to begin in June 2023 and is expected to be completed by fall 2025.
