The Fairfax County (Va.) district is renovating Louise Archer Elementary School in Vienna.

The $36 million renovation will expand the 51,235-square-foot building to about 103,224 square feet with a second story addition, reports FFXNow. The additional space will enable the district to eliminate modular and portable spaces

Louise Archer last underwent a renovation in 1991 and now serves about 510 students.

Funds for the project are coming from the district's 2021 bond package.

The school is expected to be completed in late 2024 to early 2025.

Henley Construction Company, Inc is the construction manager.
