New performing arts center highlights a $46 million upgrade at Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Calif.

The Fairfield-Suisun (Calif.) district is constructing a performing arts center for its Fairfield High School campus. 

District officials say the new facility will be used by other high schools in the district and will be available for community events, reports KCRA-TV. 

The performing arts center is part of a $46 million renovation of the high school.

The renovation includes updating and expanding the kitchen, repairing and relocating athletic fields, and adding a sports medicine and weight room.
