A Chicago high school has won an online competition and is in line to receive $150,000 to carry out an upgrade of its library.
Roberto Clemente Community Academy has won the Cloud Cuckoo Land Library Makeover contest, sponsored by nonprofit Heart of America, reports Block Club Chicago.
The high school was one of 10 finalists for the prize and had received about 7,000 votes in August, according to the
Details of the renovations are still in the works, but could include paint, a mural, flooring, lighting, new shelving and books, and technology, says the school's librarian, Andie Townhouse.
The project is expected to be completed by early November.
