The upgrade is one of projects included in the Ravenswood City (Calif.) district's $110 million bond issue that voters approved in June, reports the Almanac Online.
The district will renovate all instructional rooms at the school and create early childhood classrooms and spaces for students with special needs. The work also will add seven classrooms and relocate and expand the gym.
If there is enough funding, the district plans to create a picnic and community recreation area the field at the back of the school, a new parking area and a turf field.
This is the school's largest campus improvement since it was built in 1948.
