The Ann Arbor News reports that the renovation of 75,000 square feet of space in Roosevelt Hall will enable the university to expand the its GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology.
The state is contributing $30 million, and $12.5 million is coming from the university, officials said.
After the renovation, Roosevelt Hall, built in 1924, will house advanced technology programs, officials said.
Roosevelt Hall is home to the Technology and Professional Services Management School, Visual and Built Environments, ROTC-Military Science and K-12 STEM outreach.
The renovation will enable the university to take existing programs from Sill Hall and move them to Roosevelt Hall. That will free up space at Sill Hall for other engineering programs.
