The Desert Sun reports that the 2,500-student school, built in 1994, will have its existing classrooms, office, library/media center, gym and locker rooms modernized.
The upgrades are among first projects funded through the $675 million bond proposal passed last year. The district also will use bond funds to install access control systems as a security measure at all school sites.
The project is expected to be completed around 2028. Interim spaces will be provided on campus during construction to minimize disruption.
