Massachusetts has again ranked as the most educated of the 50 states, according to an analysis by the website WalletHub.
The site's "2021's Most & Least Educated States in America" compiled the rankings after looking at two key dimensions in each state—educational attainment and quality of education.
The dimensions were further broken out into 18 relevant metrics, such as "people 25 and older with a high school diploma;" quality of public school systems and universities; and public high school graduate rate.
On a 100-point scale, Massachusetts received 81.54, just slightly lower than the 81.84 score it received as the top score in the 2020 rankings.
The 10 states with the highest scores are the same as the ones on the 2020 list, but the order has been shuffled.
