Professor Bosco Tjan
ABC News reports that Bosco Tjan, 53, was killed inside the Seeley G. Mudd building around 4:30 p.m. USC public safety officers responded to reports of a stabbing and arrested a suspect at the scene.

Authorities have identified the alleged attacker as David Jonathan Brown, 28, University of Southern California graduate student.

Brown was one of only five students who worked in the lab with Tjan. Brown was being held on a $1 million bond.

Investigators believe the attack was the result of a personal dispute.

The university says Tjan was a professor of psychology in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and co-director of the Dornsife Cognitive Neuroimaging Center. He joined the USC faculty in 2001, and was an expert in perception, vision, and vision cognition.
