A fraternity at Drexel University in Philadelphia has been placed on interim suspension while the school investigates two allegations of sexual assault at the frat house in the city's Powelton section.

Philly.com reports that according to the university, the sexual assaults are alleged to have occurred at the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity between April 28 and May 4.

The probe is being conducted by Drexel University Police and the school's Office of Equality and Diversity.

Alex Baker, chief information officer for Tau Kappa Epsilon's international headquarters in Indianapolis, issued a statement in response to Drexel's action:

"TKE takes every sexual assault or sexual misconduct allegation extremely seriously. Members of the Alpha-Tau chapter and TKE's International Headquarters will fully cooperate with Drexel University and local authorities as this matter is investigated."

Tau Kappa Epsilon's suspension comes just a few days after 18 members of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity at Penn State were charged in connection with the alleged hazing death in February of pledge Tim Piazza.
