Stabbing at California high school wounds 2

Victims, both 16-year-old students at James Logan High in Union City, are treated for injuries; 15-year-old student arrested.

A 15-year-old student is in custody in connection with the stabbing of two students at a high school in Union City, Calif.

The East Bay Times reports that the attack occurred Friday at James Logan High School In Union City. Both victims are 16.

One student suffered a puncture wound in the lower abdomen and another received minor injuries, authorities said.

A few hours after the stabbing, detectives arrested a suspect—a 15-year-old student at the school—at a grocery store in Hayward, about two miles from the high school.

Authorities say they plan to pursue attempted murder charges.
