Student stabbed multiple times inside a New York City high school library
A student inside a Bronx high school library was stabbed in the abdomen, back and leg, allegedly by another student.
The stabbing occurred Thursday afternoon at Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School after a dispute, reports Spectrum News 1 New York.
The alleged assailant is a a 16-year-old male who stabbed an 18-year-old male. The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Hospital and is expected to survive.
New York City police say the incident may be gang-related.
School officials say the incident has persuaded them to increase security scanning on the campus until further notice.
