Student arrested after allegedly threatening to 'shoot up' Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Eli Altman Johnson, 23, is facing charges for a written or electronic threats to kill do bodily injury or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.

A student at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., has been arrested after allegedly threatening to 'shoot up' the school. 

Eli Altman Johnson, 23, is facing charges of written or electronic threats to kill do bodily injury or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, reports WFLA-TV News

Police said they were told that Johnson had made threatening statements via voicemail and texts.

Campus police found Johnson in his residence hall room and held there for police. He is being held in Pinellas County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
