8th grade girl stabbed at Ohio school in fight with another student

The victim, 13, was in serious condition with a neck wound; a fifth-grade student was in custody.

An eighth-grade girl was stabbed Thursday morning in a fight at Holy Name Elementary School in Cleveland.

Police say a fight broke out between the girl and a fifth-grade student in the school's cafeteria, reports WEWS-TV.

The 8th grader had stab wounds in the neck and chin. She was taken to a nearby hospital with serious but non-fatal injuries.

The fifth-grade student was taken into custody.
