Student critically wounded in stabbing at Georgia high school

Another student has been charged in the stabbing at Sprayberry High School in Marietta.

An 18-year-old student was critically wounded after being stabbed by another student at a high school in Marietta, Georgia.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports that Earl Nichols was stabbed multiple times on the campus of Sprayberry High School in the Cobb County district.

Another student, Aedan Smith, 17, has been arrested in connection with the stabbing and faces charges of aggravated assault and carrying a weapon within a school safety zone.

Police say a fight broke out in a school bathroom and someone with a knife  stabbed Nichols.

Nichols was transported to a local hospital, rushed to surgery and was in critical condition as of the most recent update, police said.
