A student at Savannah State University in Savannah, Ga., has died after being shot Thursday night during a quarrel on campus.

The university says Christopher Starks, a junior from the Atlanta area, died at an area hospital after being shot in a fight at the student union. As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made in the shooting. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation with the assistance of Savannah State University police.

The campus had been placed on lockdown after the incident, but that order was lifted several hours later.

Savannah State delayed classes Friday morning until 10 a.m., and has grief counselors available to help students and others deal with the death.
