Girl charged in stabbing at alternative middle school in Idaho
A middle school student in Idaho is in custody after allegedly stabbing another student in the leg.
Police responded to Crossroads Middle School in Meridian around noon Monday. The girl accused in the stabbing was taken into custody without incident, police said.
The victim, also a girl, was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released, reports eastidahonews.com.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated battery and possessing a weapon on school property, police said.
An attorney representing the family of the victim says she is 11 years old and was “the victim of a vicious, unprovoked attack.”
Crossroads Middle is an alternative school in the West Ada (Idaho) district.
