Quaker Valley High School in Leetsdale, Pa., closed for a day to rid the school of bed bugs.

A bed bug was found on a high school student's clothing by a staff member Monday, reports The Post Gazette.

Administrators brought in an extermination company to  treat the school.

A statement from the district said: “It is important to note that, according to the Allegheny County Health Department, bed bug infestations in schools are uncommon. It is more common that a few bed bugs will hitchhike to school from an infested home in clothing or backpacks,” reports KDKA 2 News.

The school is set to reopen on Wednesday.
