The Trenton (N.J.)district says it will not be able to reopen the shuttered Jefferson School as anticipated this fall. The Times of Trenton says the district will instead bus students to Cadwalader Elementary. The Jefferson School building, which has not been used for most of the last several years, was slated to reopen as an elementary school as part of the district's reconfiguration. But the $2.7 million renovation of the school will not be finished by the first day of classes on Sept. 9. The delivery of materials and parts needed for construction was delayed, the district says. Jefferson School is expected to be ready for students in January.
