Donation will help upgrade athletic facilities at University of Missouri

Former chairman of Board of Curators and his wife give $8.3 million to the university.

An $8.3 million gift to the athletics department of the University of Missouri will be used to improve and expand athletic department facilities, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says. The plans include renovations to the university's football stadium on the Columbia campus and a new clubhouse for the men’s and women’s golf teams. The donation is from from Don and Audrey Walsworth. Both are Missouri graduates, and Don Walsworth is a former chairman of the University of Missouri Board of Curators.
