Since University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman introduced ambitious sustainability goals 16 months ago, several changes can be seen, Annarbor.com reports. Seven hybrid buses have been added to the university's transportation fleet, a 2.4-acre solar panel field has been installed on north campus, and the $754 million C.S. Mott Children's and Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital has received silver LEED certification. The goals are sweeping, and change has thus far been slow and incremental.
