College students in Boston bide their time as citywide lockdown continues

With a suspected terrorist at large, students have been urged to stay in the residence halls.

The Boston Globe reports that thousands of college students in the Boston area have been huddling in their residence halls and apartments, listening to scanners, texting parents, and swapping stories, as police and FBI agents are on an all-out manhunt for the marathon bomber. Universities including MIT, Harvard, Brandeis, Boston University, Boston College, Boston Conservatory, Bentley, Suffolk, Northeastern, Simmons, Berklee, Wheelock, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Tufts, Emmanuel, and Emerson canceled classes today.
